Precision and Personalized Medicine in Bulgaria – How to break barriers?
Third Annual Conference of Bulgarian Medicine Association
Over 250 physicians from Bulgaria gathered at the largest medical forum in Nessebar (21-22.04.2017). The third annual conference of Bulgarian Medicine Association was entitled “Healthcare – current and future. Innovations in prophylaxis, early diagnosis and treatment”. The conference was opened by Dr. Ventzeslav Grozev – Chair of the Board of BMA and Dr. Julian Jordanov – Chair of Accreditation Council of BMA.
Over 60 speakers presented scientific reports and presentations.
In her presentation, entitled “Precision and Personalized Medicine in Bulgaria – how to break barriers”, Dr. Jasmina Koeva-Balabanova showed the results of analysis of BAPPM on the problems, which development and implementation of precision and personalized medicine face in Bulgaria, as well as proposed by BAPPM solutions and actual steps. The presentation gained the attention of the audience, the proposed measures were widely discussed and supported by the participants in the forum.
