Dr.  Jasmina Koeva-Balabanova,  MD – Chair of the Board, Managing partner in „SBS Consulting – Smart Business Solutions Ltd“.

Dr. Koeva graduated Medicine in Medical University Varna Magna cum Laude. From 1986 till 1992 she was a research associate in the Clinic of Endocrinology of “St. Marina” University Hospital. She has accomplished postgraduate studies in  Institut für Diabetes »Gerhardt Katsch«, Germany and WHO Collaboration Center, Clinic of Endocrinology and Metabolism, „Royal Victoria Infirmary“, University of Newcastle  upon Tyne, UK.

Dr. Jasmina Koeva is a MD in Healthcare Management, Medical University Sofia, and has qualification in strategic business and marketing planning, forecasting in pharmaceutical industry, leadership, organizational development etc. From 1992 till 2002 she has worked at various positions in different pharmaceutical companies, such as „Ciba-Geigy Swiss“, „Eli Lilly Swiss“, „CSC Pharmaceuticals“ , „Balkanpharma“. From 2002 till 2005 she has been Director Strategic Marketing in „Actavis“ HQ.

From 2005 till 2008 г. Jasmina was Councilor and Head of Bulgarian Trade and Economic Mission in the Embassy of Bulgaria to Vienna, Austria

Since 2008 Dr. Koeva has been working on various projects in pharmaceutical marketing, medicine and life sciences, molecular diagnostics and healthcare management. Since 2013 she has focused on precision and personalized medicine. Jasmina is partner in „SBS Consulting – Smart Business Solutions“ Ltd. since2014 г.

On 23.11.2016 Dr. Jasmina Koeva-Balabanova has been elected Chair of the Board of BAPPM. Since 2017 she is a Treasurer of EAPM; country representative of Bulgaria for the Declaration “Towards at least 1 million genomes in EU to 2022” since 2018 and member of the expert group to EC on genomic medicine since 2020 and member of the board of BJON since 2022.
